Alright, I'm too fucking frustrated with my inability to put thoughts to paper, so instead I will just say this:
Go listen to the album 'Control' by Pedro the Lion. It will kick your ass, leave you weeping, beat up, and yet somehow wanting more.
That is all... I'm going to go kick some puppies and push some old people in front of cars. Gotta love the sound of elderly bone crunches...

i've been hearing "pedro the lion" mentioned a few times. i think it's time i actually listened to some.

Thanks, Moe. Yes, you should definitely check out Pedro the Lion. It can sometimes take a little to warm up to his songwriting style, but take some time and really dig into the emotional content of the lyrics and the performance, and you'll be über rewarded.
Thanks for the comment on the pic...sadly, I can't take credit for it. I used the Flickr 'Blog This' button, saved this post, and when I finally posted it, the photo credit disappeared, even though it still showed in the Blogger code. Weird.
Good to have East-Lake.net back, btw. We'll have to talk WordPress sometime...I'm intrigued by it.
